Elei Tino at Measina Festival 2026, Samoa (formerly Teuila Festival)

The Measina Festival is Samoa’s national cultural and tourism festival. It celebrates Samoan heritage through activities such as:

  • Traditional dance and music, including siva, mā‘ulu‘ulu, sasa, fa‘ataupati, and Samoan songs
  • Traditional sports and competitions
  • Fautasi canoe races and other water events
  • Fire-knife dancing (ailao afi)
  • Arts, crafts, and cultural exhibitions
  • Community performances and displays of Samoan customs

It was formerly known as the Teuila Festival, named after Samoa’s national flower. In 2026, Samoa officially rebranded it as the Measina Festival – “measina” meaning treasured cultural heritage or cultural assets. The festival remains an annual event, with competitions and activities generally held around August and September.

 

Elei Tino Fashion Design was at Measina Festival 2026 where nine new designs were modelled by Miss Samoa (2025) and the eight contestants for Miss Samoa 2026.
